Dog Licence

Recommended Posts

So in Ireland, you need to have a licence to keep a dog. Not for a cat, fox, badger, but definitely need one for a dog!?!

The dog warden arrived at the front door the other day, he wasn't very nice, apparently - I was at work.

"You have a dog!?" said he, looking at the dog bowl by the front door.

18 year old replied "who are you"

"Dog Warden"

I would have said it was for the resident fox, or badger population, but she fessed up, and therefore grassed me in as an unlicenced dog owner.

I feel a bit hard done by, seeing as I never wanted a dog, never bought a dog, but there is a dog who lives in my house. Which make me liable to prosecution.

How is that really my fault??

I did that man a favour, by not taking it to him pound, and that is the thanks I get!

Guess he has to try to justify his salary somehow, though he omitted to collect the new stray who is now constantly around my house - actually it was that stray who was hanging around and got me caught. "My" dog was asleep on my 10 year old's bed upstairs.
